Project Description:
I will be creating a small motif that lines up to create a repeating patter. Firstly, I will choose a theme based off two descriptive words then create a 8″x10″ design. Next, I will rearrange my design and create nine photocopies, taping them together to create repeating pattern.

After much debate I decided to go with the ‘Aggressively Nerdy’ idea because it’s a fun concept that I have some relation to and pride in.

The mind-maps helped me to further immerse my head-space into my theme.

I drew five images I felt evoked the words “aggressive” and “nerdy” to help establish an idea of what design I want to use.

From doing this I realized people really like the nostalgic classic nerdy characters from “back in the day”, I also wanted to utilize the stigma behind being a nerd to show how the piece would scream “Nerdy”.
