Art Foundations 1107: Time
Project Description:
This project introduces the skills of video editing in Adobe Premiere and making a humorous silent film. Students will create a project that utilizes the Elements and Principles of Art in an effective manner.
Form: The goal of the project is to use "humor" strategies and video editing to create a short film that utilizes the Elements and Principles of Art in an effective manner.
Content: The goal is to introduce students to Lens Based and Time Based ideas about creating something funny+visual storytelling. Students will be exposed to ideas of montage and how juxtaposed scenes are capable of creating new meaning.
The project must utilize the following:

Use of Lens Based media

Adobe Premier
Elements: Color, Light, Space, Time/Movement
Principles: Unity, Variety, Balance
Ideation/Visualization:

Create 5 pages of sketches with framing and shot ideas for your project. These should serve as planning for the shots you intend to film. There should be at least 2 sketches per page.

Then fill as many pages as needed with a storyboard of your project. The entire “plan” for the final edit of your footage must be mapped out before you begin shooting and editing in Premier.
